風が吹き、雨が枝葉を落とす。その中から目に止まった幾つかを拾い上げた。
消石灰の化粧をし、またその場に戻した。
枝葉は、その場から遊離し存在を語りはじめる、自然に戻るまでのわずかな時を。

The wind blows and the rain drops the leaves. I picked up some of them that caught my eye. I put on slaked lime makeup on them and returned them to the spot.
The foliage leaves the place and begins to talk about its existence, a short time before returning to nature.

道一本を隔てて、1960年前後の空気が流れる。日本が「高度成長期」に踊る時代だ、新島にも、少し遅れてその波は訪れたはずだ。
３軒長屋の住民たちの、生活はいかがだったのだろう。
コーガ石の建物は、夏の暑さも冬の風も防いだはずだ。
住民である、豚たちの見る風景を追体験する時、その視線の先に何を見るのだろう。

Across the road, the air of around 1960’s flows. It is an era when Japanese economy dances to the “high growth period”, and its wave should have arrived at Niijima a little late.
I am wondering how the lives of three tenement houses were. The house made with the koga-seki (a type of pumice or rhyolite) should have prevented both summer heat and winter wind.
When seeking the scenery seen by the residents of the pigs there once, what we would see next to that line of sight.

遠眼鏡に閉じ込められた空気
安堵の意識と隔り
“みること”と“みられること”
みられていながら“みること”
みているものから“みられること”
客体化しようとする“客体”

タイトル以前
偶然が重ならければこのたんぼで何が起きているかを見ることはなかったであろう。ましてや、何か発表するなど、とてもできるものじゃないと思っていた。それでも3回目のこの年には、何かを発表することになってしまった。
小さな机と現地で提供してもらった椅子を置いた。机の上に、購入した【得点板】と【双眼鏡】を置いた。座ってみたら、椅子があぜ道にめり込んだ。かっこ悪いが椅子の下に、椅子が動かないように板を置いた。机も動かないように、杭を打ち結んだ。
あとは、２人組（1名さまは ＋ 自ら）の獲物を待つ。
「これなんですか？」椅子に座るように、丁寧に誘う。
「互いにピント合いますか？」暫しの時が流れる。
「この得点板（スコアとか、数字とか、点数とか）なんですか？」
「なんでもいいので、数値化（点付けて）してみますか？」
そして、最後も「これなんですか？」誰か教えてください。
ずーと、タイトルが付けられないのです。でも、覗いてみないと・覗かれてみないと＝覗きながら、覗いているのを見られてみないと、それは教えられないのかもしれない。香川県三豊市高瀬町上麻南山のたんぼへぜひいらしてください。うどんを食べに。（香川県/三豊市）
